• Identifying sounds of letters- matching & writing
• Identifying, counting and grouping of #’s 1-15, then 1-20
• Tracing and writing numbers (1-20)
• Writing 1st name/ building to awareness & recognition of last name
• Rhyming & Language skills

Cognitive Awareness
• Classifying sizes, shapes & colors/Sorting and matching
• Enhance problem-solving skills through social interaction and games
• Ordering & Sequencing skill building activities and games
• Educational computer software emphasizing: grouping, sequencing, matching, etc.
• Quantities & Mass Concepts

Fine Motor Development
• Cut shapes, strips and on-lines
• Pincher grasp- big red pencil & markers
• Beading/threading: Hand-eye coordination skills
• Strengthening hand muscles & control
• Stencil tracing and cutouts
• Drawing people, faces- illustrating stories

Large Motor Development
• To run, jump, hop and skip with ease and control
• Bounce balls/throwing balls & beanbags (Aiming for targets)
• Balance beam exercises
• Jumping to rhythms
• Multi-task obstacle courses

Social Awareness/Development
• Expressing feelings in a healthy way
• Develop friendships & understand kindness
• Fostering self-esteem
• Cooperative play-taking turns & following multi-step directions
• Manners & respecting peers
• Developing Independence and self-care skills

Science/Nature
• Begin to observe changes in nature & world around us
• Nature walks- “Explores”
• Hands-on science activities relating to changes in weather, temperature and textures
• Using science as a means to foster other areas of development (confidence, social skills, etc.)
• Opposite concepts such as float & sink, demagnetization, etc.

Cooking
• Becoming familiar with common kitchen tools and appliances
• Gaining hands- on exposure to various food items
• Counting & measuring
• Cleaning up after self & helping others

Spiritual Development
• Hear Bible stories from God’s word
• Become familiar with Bible verses and their meaning/memorization
