Fine Motor Development
• Fingerplay songs
• Gluing and coloring
• Pincher Grasp (working with markers & crayons- working up to pencils)
• Beading/threading- various other hand/eye coordination skill building
• Strengthening hand muscles and control

Large Motor Development
• To run, jump, hop and skip with ease and control
• Bounce balls/throwing balls & beanbags (Aiming for targets)

Social Awareness/Development
• Social interaction
• Develop friendships & understand kindness
• Following directions
• Beginning of cooperative play-taking turns

Science/Nature
• Begin to observe changes in nature & world around us
• Nature walks- “Explores”
• Perform simple, visual science experiments (color, magnets, etc.)
• Children begin to become active participants in science experiments

Cooking
• Becoming familiar with common kitchen tools and appliances
• Gaining hands- on exposure to various food items
• Counting & measuring

Spiritual Development
• Hear Bible stories from God’s word
